Hicham Chajai from France coming to participate in *CaliXpressions* Introduction to Figurative Calligraphy *Open level. *Tools will be borrowed (pen, ink, paper). *Knowledge of Arabic language is not needed. *Course is individualized. Everyone will progress according to his level and his speed *Objective is that every student will leave the class with nice calligraphies they will bring home. Program: Session 1 (free) - 10.30AM to 12.30PM Familiarization with tools through simple exercises. I will be helping everybody so people will know how to hold the pen, how to draw clear lines and curves. I will show a few letters in Diwani style. I will explain the hidden geometric rules and students will practice. I will help each of them individually so they draw beautiful letters. We will use simple words and I will explains how to make designs with calligraphy. I will learn how to draw a drop shape with words Session 2 (paid)- 2PM to 4PM Practice a few letters with Diwani style. For the students from the first session, I will show other letters. Floral Calligraphie techniques. I will teach how to draw flowers with letters using geometric rules and calligraphy. I will also teach techniques to complete the flower with a stem and leaves. At the end of the class, each student will draw by themselves a complete flower I will draw for them one flower with the word or name or their choice.
