Manjula's journey as a self taught artist was not always a direct one. She mainly was into contemporary Indian Art as well as abstraction. Her journey with Kerala Mural, was very close to her heart as it is an art form traditionally done on temple walls by learned artists from the state of Kerala, from where she belong to. The use of vibrant colors left her in awe to took her to a totally different state of a combination of happiness and bliss, which is unexplained. Art for her was always a passion and therapeutic feel at a palette on the canvas. Hence I started using a vibrant palette of colours in my works. Manjula continues to achieve depth of her paintings.
